Aurora Pharmaceutical is proud to support the future of veterinary medicine through our annual DVM Student Scholarship Program. Each year we award scholarships to third-year veterinary students who demonstrate academic excellence, professional promise, and a commitment to their communities.

Recipients are selected based on academic performance, work experience in veterinary medicine, community and university involvement, professional goals, personal essays, and letters of recommendation.

2026 Aurora Pharmaceutical Awards $100,000 in DVM Student Scholarships May 13, 2026

Northfield, MN – May 13, 2026 – Aurora Pharmaceutical awards $100,000 proudly to the recipients of its 2026 DVM Student Scholarship Program, awarding scholarships to 31 exceptional third-year veterinary students from across the country.

This year’s awards include twenty-four scholarships of $2,500, six scholarships of $5,000, and one top scholarship of $10,000. All recipients were selected through a competitive process evaluating academic excellence, relevant veterinary-related work experience, community and university involvement, professional goals, personal essays, and letters of recommendation.

The Aurora Pharmaceutical DVM Student Scholarship is designed to recognize and support students who demonstrate not only academic promise but also a strong commitment to the field of veterinary medicine and their communities. Now in its 6th year, the program continues to grow in reach and impact, reflecting Aurora’s ongoing mission to contribute meaningfully to the future of animal health.

The 2026 scholarship recipients represent a wide range of backgrounds and aspirations, but all share a common dedication to advancing animal care and veterinary medicine.

2025 Aurora Pharmaceutical Awards $90,000 in DVM Student Scholarships May 2, 2025

Northfield, MN – May 2, 2025 – Aurora Pharmaceutical proudly announces the recipients of its 2025 DVM Student Scholarship Program, awarding a total of $90,000 in scholarships to 28 exceptional third-year veterinary students from across the country.

This year’s awards include twenty-two scholarships of $2,500, five scholarships of $5,000, and one top scholarship of $10,000. All recipients were selected through a competitive process evaluating academic excellence, relevant veterinary-related work experience, community and university involvement, professional goals, personal essays, and letters of recommendation.

“We are honored to support the next generation of veterinarians through this scholarship program,” said Dr. Mike Strobel, veterinarian, founder, and CEO of Aurora Pharmaceutical. “As someone who has built a career in veterinary medicine, I know firsthand the dedication and sacrifice it takes to make it through veterinary school. Giving back in this way is part of our commitment to the profession and to helping passionate students realize their dream of becoming veterinarians.”

Now in its 5th year, the program continues to grow in reach and impact, reflecting Aurora’s ongoing mission to contribute meaningfully to the future of animal health.

Aurora Pharmaceutical Awards $75,000 in Scholarships to Veterinary Students

Aurora Pharmaceutical, Inc., a veterinary pharmaceutical product development, manufacturing, and marketing company headquartered in Northfield, MN, has announced the selection of 22 third-year veterinary students to receive scholarship funds in support of their veterinary education.

The recipients were chosen based on academic achievement, related work experience, community and university involvement, career goals, a written essay, and letters of reference.

“This year was extremely difficult choosing the various scholarship winners,” said Matt Klotz, DVM, Equine Technical Services Director at Aurora Pharmaceutical. “The academic and hands-on experience level of students moving through veterinary school is as advanced as ever. We are excited to be part of that continued journey to be a veterinarian. Congratulations to all this year’s winners.”

“Supporting the future leaders within the veterinary industry was really our driving force when continuing these scholarships,” said Grant Weaver, DVM, Swine Technical Service Veterinarian at Aurora Pharmaceutical. “We look forward to welcoming these students into our industry upon graduation.”

2023 Aurora Pharmaceutical Awards $75,000 in Veterinary Scholarship Awards April 28, 2023

April 28, 2023 – Northfield, MN – Aurora Pharmaceutical, Inc., a veterinary pharmaceutical product development, manufacturing and marketing company headquartered in Northfield, MN, proudly announces the winners of their 2023 Promising Veterinary Scholarship Awards recipients. This is the second year Aurora Pharmaceutical has offered the more than $75,000 scholarship awards open to all third-year veterinary medicine students at an accredited university within the United States. Special consideration was given to students who are tracking in food animal or equine.

“With veterinary student debt continuing to escalate, we are committed to provide veterinary students with financial assistance through our Scholarship Program,” states Grant Weaver, DVM, Swine Technical Service Veterinarian at Aurora Pharmaceutical. “These students are the future of our industry, and we need to help them when we can through scholarships, mentoring and educational programs. I’m excited Aurora is funding this initiative and congratulate all the 2023 recipients.”

2022 Aurora Pharmaceutical Awards $75,000 in Veterinary Student Scholarships May 1, 2022

May 1, 2022 – Northfield, MN – Aurora Pharmaceutical, Inc., a veterinary pharmaceutical product development, manufacturing and marketing company headquartered in Northfield, MN, announced today they have finalized the selection of 21 third-year veterinary students who will be receiving scholarship funds to assist in their veterinary degrees. The scholarship recipients were selected based on a combination of academic achievement, related work experience, community and university involvement, goals, essay and letters of reference.

“The costs associated with pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine can be daunting,” says Matt Klotz, DVM, Equine Technical Service Veterinarian at Aurora Pharmaceutical. “As a veterinarian who has gone through it, I am thrilled that Aurora has decided to share some of our good fortune and ease some of the financial strain of deserving students.”

2021 Aurora Pharmaceutical Announces Recipients of Inaugural DVM Student Scholarship Program August 1, 2021

August 1, 2021 – Northfield, MN – Aurora Pharmaceutical, Inc. is thrilled to announce the recipients of their inaugural Aurora Pharmaceutical DVM Student Scholarship Program. In all, the program designated $50,000 in scholarships, including 10 individual scholarships of $2,500 – in addition to three individual scholarships of $5,000 and one individual scholarship of $10,000.

“On behalf of Aurora I want to extend my congratulations not only to the 14 recipients of this year’s recipients but to all the 2021 applicants.
