Aurora Pharmaceutical Renews Veterinary Scholarship Awards Program for 2023

Aurora Pharmaceutical, Inc., a veterinary pharmaceutical product development, manufacturing, and marketing company based in Northfield, MN, is proud to announce the continuation of its Veterinary Scholarship Awards Program for 2023. The company will offer up to $75,000 in scholarship funding to third-year veterinary students enrolled at accredited U.S. universities.

The scholarship awards include:

• Sixteen (16) scholarships of $2,500 each

• Five (5) scholarships of $5,000 each

• One (1) scholarship of $10,000

Special consideration will be given to applicants pursuing food animal or equine veterinary tracks.

“With veterinary student debt continuing to escalate, we are committed to providing financial assistance through our Scholarship Program,” said Grant Weaver, DVM, Swine Technical Service Veterinarian at Aurora Pharmaceutical. “These students are the future of our industry, and we need to help them when we can—through scholarships, mentoring, and educational programs. I’m excited that Aurora is funding this initiative and look forward to announcing our next round of scholarship recipients.”

Application Details

According to Breanna Snyder, Program Coordinator, scholarship selections will be based on:

• Academic achievement

• Related work experience

• Community and university involvement

• Career goals

• Essay submission

• Letters of reference

Applications will be reviewed and scored by a committee of Aurora team members. All materials must be submitted via email and received no later than 11:59 PM CST on Friday, March 17, 2023.

All applicants will be notified of their application status within 4–6 weeks following the deadline. Students should confirm with their university that scholarship funds can be accepted on their behalf before applying.
